CPOP: Greetings, Pete. We thank you for taking the time to sit down and have a conversation with us. Could you please introduce yourself to the CVLT and to those who may be new to who you are and where you sit amongst the foundation of CPOP and the Monolith?
Pete: Hello, everyone. My name is Pete Wall, and I'm very happy to sit here and answer these questions. I am a self-published author who has recently joined the ranks of the Monolith and CPOP. For the most part, my genre of choice is Fantasy, but I have recently branched out into the Post Apocalypse, as well as Science Fiction.
CPOP: Introduce us to Big Dawg Publishing, please.
Pete: Big Dawg Publishing came about after years of struggling with self doubt, a lack of confidence and years of battles with depression. I had to push past my boundaries, boundaries I put before myself. BDP has grown by introducing new aspiring authors with Wasteland. I am hoping for continued growth as we move forward, but it all began with pushing myself to the next level.
CPOP: Is there anything new you have coming and/or have already released via either Big Dawg Publishing or the Monolith? What should we be on the look out for in the future from you?
Pete: The very first novel I published, was Dragon's Kin: Book One in the Circle of Steel Chronicles. I followed that up with a collaborative novella, title Wasteland and lastly, the follow up to Dragon's Kin, Dragon's Gate: Part One.
CPOP: What's to come?
Pete: At the moment, I, along with other authors, are working on the follow up to Wasteland in Wastelander as well as Dragon's Gate: Part Two and Three. These will be coming out, via Big Dawg Publishing. Recently released from Monolith and CPOP is the new series now available via digital download, Vampyr: the Second Race. This is a six-part series that I am very proud to bring to the Monolith, and hope readers enjoy my spin on traditional vampire myths.

CPOP: Many Monolith readers will know you from your introduction to the CPOP family by way of the yearly Corrogatio publication. Will you return in 2019? What are your thoughts so far in your experience with CPOP and the Monolith?
Pete: To answer the first question, YOUR DAMN RIGHT I'LL BE RETURNING. As for my thoughts and experience with CPOP and the Monolith, I have been excited from day one to work with Neuicon (CPOP and Monolith's Owner and Founder). If not for CPOP and the Monolith, I would probably still be battling with writer's block. I have nothing but respect for the leader of the Monolith, as well as the authors who have and continue to write for the brand.
CPOP: When did you begin writing? What about it brought about a spark in you? Have you written anything that hasn’t been published that you’d wish you would have?
Pete: Storytelling has always been a part of who I am, from a youth, to adulthood. When I truly began to write, was in my teens. Sadly, due to a car accident, I was left with many impairments that had me learning how to read and write all over again. As for work I wish I had published, regretfully, everything I had written before the accident. Sadly, I became so frustrated in myself that I couldn't write for so long, I threw all my work in the garbage.
CPOP: What inspires you to tap into your inner-creativity and what in general inspires you to write?
Pete: I don't know if I have ever needed inspiration to write. I have always had the ability to create worlds inside my head and escape into those realities. I hope those who read my work can also see the worlds I see with their imaginations.
CPOP: What advice would you offer to an aspiring author? Is there anything you have encountered that you had to overcome and how did you go about combating it successfully?
Pete: My advice is simple: PUSH YOURSELF. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there to be judged. Writing of any form is such a special thing to be a part of and immersing yourself in the words of a story can be so enthralling that you should take the risk on yourself. Don't be afraid of what the readers think or say either. Criticism helps you get better at your craft.
CPOP: Corrogatio 2018. Of all the submissions, which was your favorite, and why?
Pete: I have to go with the Prowler by Neuicon, now, I enjoyed reading every entry, but the reaction my daughter had to the ending of that story makes it stick in my mind the most.
CPOP: You recently debuted an ongoing mini-series with the Monolith, titled Vampyr. For those new to your name, what’s it about?
Pete: Vampyr: the Second Race has been an ongoing work of mine for quite some time. I began writing this story for some simple reasons. One being I have never liked the idea of vampires feeding off of humans, because it never made sense to me. Why would a superior species feed off an inferior species for strength and vitality? Also, we all remember the debacle that was Twilight, cringe! I also took a bit of theory, myth and mixed that altogether to create a history and background for my Vampyr. I wanted something new and different for the vampire race and I truly hope I deliver just that.

CPOP: Do you plan on continuing the Vampyr series after season one concludes?
Pete: I do. I plan on working on the second part of the series at the beginning of 2020. I have big plans for the Vampyr series and the Monolith will be my choice to see that world continue to grow within.
CPOP: Is there anything you’d like to mention to any new fans of your work with the Monolith who have already begun reading Vampyr and what they can expect moving forward?
Pete: Expect a lot of carnage, blood and guts to come your way. Season one has plenty of action and gore, but it was also used as a means for readers to get to know some of the characters. In season two, we are going to step it up a notch in some horrifying tales and some kick-ass action sequences. I will also be working on a backstory and guide of the Vampyr nation that will be published before season two is released.
CPOP: We thank you for your time, Pete. We welcome you again, to the Monolith and are more than happy to have you with us. We look forward to the future, together.
Pete: Thank You for giving me the opportunity and platform to not only share my stories, but to also give the readers and opportunity to get to know a little about myself. HAVE A GOOD DAY, AND A BETTER TOMORROW!
