1944: Combat Shock / Second Edition
1944: Combat Shock, originally released in 2013, marked the first historical miniatures wargame to be produced by CPOP. In 2021, eight years later, the second edition of the game finally arrives from creator, Neuicon. Combat Shock has always remained an important piece of the CPOP catalog, and was originaly set to release in 2020, but world events would prevent that from happening, as other projects and a halt within the brand kept the title from seeing the light. Now, in 2021, the game returns, updated and expanded, bringing the same easy-to-learn gameplay and fast and brutal skirmishes, back to the tabletop.
Combat Shock is a set of World War II tabletop miniatures rules, for use with 15 to 28mm miniatures, based individually, or several of them mounted on a single base. Combat Shock is played on battlefields between 2x2 to 4x4 feet and encourage quick gameplay, allowing for combat to be seen within the very first turn. Gameplay remains as simple to learn and understand as the original edition, still providing tactical play amongst players.
Included in this book, are: the core rules, as well as a set of basic counters and templates used in the game. The core rules include basic and advanced rules, battle conditions, upgradeable options, scenarios, selections for the United States, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and blank team cards (copy/print these to write in and track your teams).
